Rushing River Autumn

Quilt Details

Description
This quilt was designed to hang along the stairs leading to the second floor of our home and was the most difficult I have done in that the measurements for the finished piece had to be exacting to fit into the wall space next to the stairs - and to leave space for the light switch. Basting this large quilt while it was laid out on the sewing room floor was a bit of a contortionist act! Creating the hanging rod with holes in just the right spaces to match up with the hanging nails on the wall was also exacting! It ended up working beautifully on the first hanging try.

I later completed a companion piece to this quilt, Autumn River.
